Charlotte IMS Recap

An aerial view of our booth.
We finally had a chance to catch our collective breath after the whirl-wind weekend that was the Charlotte International Motorcycle Show. This was our first year with a display at the event and we learned a lot from the experience. We learned that two-three people can pull this off, having Ducati girls in your booth attracts a lot of attention and that 73 350 Bultaco's are way more interesting to most people than say, a 1962 Triton. To all those who came, thanks for stopping by and saying hello, to everyone who helped us, thanks for lending a hand and to those who didn't make it, we hope you come and see us at another event or at next year's IMS. Next stop Triumph Vintage Day at Ray Price.
In case you missed our booth, or stopped by and wondered what it was you were looking at, here's a complete list of the bikes we brought: L-R 1971 BSA A65, 1969 Triumph T120 Bonneville, 1973 Bultaco Pursang 350, 1967 Triton, 1962 Triton, 1959 Matchless G3, 1978 Triumph T140 Bonneville AHRMA Racer,  1974 Norton Commando.

Model, Mayra Tinajero, leaves Ducati and becomes the new Norton girl.

The Four Stroke of the Apocalypse vs. Ton Up N*C

While most folks were out celebrating America's independence from the British crown, on July 4, 2012 the Ton Up N*C boys were fighting a battle of their own against the British. However, in this conflict, a London made 1959 Matchless G3 was the enemy and despite a history of stumping many a mechanic, the Ton Up NC boys were determined to get this old girl back in running order. Here you can see the short-term results...
Alex replaces the ignition system...
Will she run? (watch the video below and see)
